Stamp duty is a tax imposed on the purchase or transfer of property ownership and is payable under Section 3 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899. The amount is calculated based on the property's value at the time of registration and may vary depending on the guidelines set by the relevant registration authority.

Generally, stamp duty is non-refundable as it is a government tax essential for legally validating property transactions. However, in certain exceptional cases—such as errors in calculation or if the transaction is legally cancelled—there may be a possibility of a refund. To determine eligibility, it's important to consult legal professionals and check with the concerned registration authority. Refund policies and procedures are subject to the provisions laid out by the relevant authority.

During the time of handover, the SRA Group will take the initiative to invite all property owners to form a formal Residents’ Association. Office bearers and executive committee members will be elected by the owners themselves. Once formed, the association will take over responsibilities from the SRA Group. The Bye-Laws of the Association will be binding on all its members.
